25 Things Other Fitness Coaches Don’t Want You to Know
You may not know this... But there is some REALLY bad information out there, when it comes to nutrition.
On Google, there is 774,000,000 results when you type in diet plan. I have to imagine that 75% of it is complete crap.
But the 75% show's itself everywhere we go.

You name the platform, there is some BS in there somewhere. And it DRIVES ME INSANE.
And prompted me to write 25 things coaches don't want you to know, for you, so you can understand what truly matters:
Diet's cause metabolic adaptation, you can't go into it without a plan for after the plan. (This is why I always recommend a reverse diet after a cut).
Quick results don't last.
Supplements work, but it's the 2% - diet and training cover the 98%.
The supplements that do work, are typically just vitamins and minerals or food extracted substances like creatine or greens powder
You will need self discipline.
Flexibility is key, but it's 10% of the time (90% is healthy eating).
You can have alcohol, but it still needs to be limited.
You won't be motivated every single day of the year (I'm not either - it's ok).
Doing the same thing as everyone else (or "that guy") will likely not work, you're different - you'll need a different diet.
Pick a goal date to reach your target physique, then add 1-2 months to it to account for hiccups, social events, and slip ups (and just safe measure).
Getting lean is a destination, staying lean is a lifestyle.
Sometimes you just need cardio, too. Expecting to never do any is an appetite for a very low calorie diet and/or disappointment.
Be willing to work.
You have to prepare and plan your macros, going by the seat of your pants or playing macro tetris on myfitnesspal as the day goes on will likely lead to never hitting macros.
You need a food scale.
You do not need to be exact with everything, ranges are an A+.
Don't take those ranges too far out of hand, though 😉
You have to eat your greens! Just learn to enjoy them.
Metrics matter, so plan on keeping some data.
Intermittent fasting isn't a magic trick for fat loss, its an adherence tool to help you hit your daily intake more easily (for some).
You don't need to cut out _______ (insert non-paleolithic food group), unless you have an intolerance. If you have one, you'd know.
Consistency is the overarching key to success, I'm sorry - be patient!
You should hire a coach if you want serious results. Invest some time and money, get fantastic results, educate yourself during the process, and then do it yourself for the long haul (that's how world class coaching actually works).
As unsexy as it sounds, balance is key - don't go too far in any one direction. Strive for some balance.
Adherence outweighs every science based principle.
I hope this helps you out... For many people, it just helps to see THE REAL side of dieting. Because there's a lot of bad information swaying people in the wrong direction out there.
But don't get me wrong, there's a lot of amazing info out there too.
Some of my best friends are coaches themselves and I'd recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat.
But we're all fighting the same fight out here, which is bringing the honest side of fitness and nutrition - to you.
Let’s keep fighting the good fight. As always, connect with me to learn more about my programs or if you have any questions.
