7 Step Success Checklist For Lockdown

More and more states are currently in the process of closing things down again. With lockdown #2 creeping in, I thought it was a good time for me to remind you that you are always supported during this chaotic time and never alone.

With that said, I wanted to share with you my seven steps to lockdown success. I think it will help to ease anxiety and calm the nerves.

Here’s what I’m doing, as well as my clients, to ensure we get BETTER because of this lockdown:

1. JOURNAL DAILY

This is number 1 for a reason - it's the most crucial.

Journaling is the act of reflecting to create insights for self improvements.

It's taking the past and present, finding the lessons within, and learning to become better in the future BECAUSE of what's already been done or is happening.

2. MEDITATE DAILY

If there was ever a good time to pick up meditation, it's now.

We NEED to learn to create space for ourselves to clear our minds and we NEED to practice being still, in such a time like this (it'll make it easier to deal with, I promise).

Have you downloaded the insight timer? It’s my new fav app to recommend for new meditators. Check it out!

3. MOVE DAILY

Our bodies need movement, period.

It's how we thrive and function as human beings (not too mention lower risk of depression and stress or anxiety, which is crucial right now).

So don't let a "stay at home order" stop you from moving!

  • Start a mobility routine

  • Get better at push ups

  • Start running

ANYTHING that promotes movement, we want to do daily.

4. START A HOBBY OR SKILL

I just picked up reading every morning again, so I'll continue to build that skill over the course of lockdown number two.

I encourage you to pick up a skill that makes you feel more creative, accomplished, and personally invested.

5. STRUCTURE A NEW DAILY ROUTINE

What better time than now to design your day for ultimate productivity and fulfillment?

There isn't a better time, because you have nothing getting in your way.

Wake up and spend a full hour on YOU.

Within that hour, what will you do?

Write it down, schedule it out, and get consistent

When this is all over, you will be 10x more productive because of starting this routine.

6. BUILD RELATIONSHIPS BACK UP

A relationship, of any kind, is like a plant. If you don't water it, it'll stop growing.

It might still stick around, but it's never the same and it doesn't flourish like it once did or has the potential to do.

When we're restricted from being around others, it's imperative that we invest even MORE SO in communication and connection from a far.

  • Facetime

  • Zoom calls

  • Daily texts

  • Coaching

Every day, invest in someone else.

7. DIAL IN ON YOUR DIET

Last, but definitely not least, this is the BEST time to prioritize your diet.

  • Start tracking macros

  • Develop new healthy habits

You have all the control in the world, now.

It's always a great time to invest in your health, but my point is for those of you reading this who have had bars, restaurants, gatherings, and social events shut down....

YOU have a unique opportunity to take full control of everything in your day to day life, and that includes your nutrition.
