Nickelodeon's ALL THAT is Getting Remade - Here’s Everything You Need to Know

Nineties kids likely have fond memories of Friday nights spent watching Nickelodeon's SNICK block. A highlight was *All That*, a sketch comedy show similar to *SNL* but geared towards kids. Running from 1994 into the early 2000s, it featured young comedic talents like Kenan Thompson, Amanda Bynes, and Kel Mitchell, and boasted guest appearances by popular musicians and comedians of the era (e.g., Chris Farley, Aaliyah). *All That*'s unique appeal lay in its kid-created, kid-focused humor and its accurate portrayal of 90s culture.

TLC, an iconic 90’s R&B group, was also responsible for creating the opening theme song, titled, All That, which only added points to the overall cool factor of the show.  From the clothes they wore, the music they listened to and the slang used when speaking to one another, the show was a clear and accurate depiction of our childhood pre-internet days and it was, most definitely, ALL THAT (and a bag of chips).

Watching All That was like hanging out with the cool kids in school every Friday night- except you were able to do it from the comfort of your own home while laid up on the couch, noshing on a bag of cheese doodles.

So, will the re-make be as good? Here’s what we know so far:

  • It’s supposed to air this Summer, 2019.

  • Kenan Thompson was appointed to be the executive producer of the show.

  • According to Thompson, the original cast is still  close and will return in some aspect for the reboot - YAY!

  • We’re told the sketches will be sort of a mash-up of the old but also a lot of new ones.

I don’t know about you but I’m pumped (clearly.)!!

Shall we reminisce? Here are my top 10 favorite sketches of all time from the 90’s show, All That. Hopefully the re-make will include some of these classic goodies:

If you watched the show, make sure you let me know what your favorite sketch is in the comments below.  Will YOU be on the lookout for the re-make this summer? Leave me a comment below!
