The Reality of Meal Plans and Why They Don't Work
Yesterday, I had a frank discussion with someone eager for weight loss but unwilling to commit to the lifestyle changes necessary to achieve it. They sought a simple meal plan, expecting me to dictate their eating habits. While macro tracking and consistent effort are demanding, a pre-packaged plan would likely lead to resentment, weight regain, and an unhealthy relationship with food. The only time I've seen a meal plan truly succeed was with a wealthy client who could afford personalized macro breakdowns and a meal prep service. This approach, while effective, isn't feasible for most. Therefore, I focus on teaching my clients sustainable nutritional lifestyles.

Here are some ideas you can practice today instead of seeking out a meal plan from someone like myself.
Education, learn what macros are, how they work in your body and what foods have more macros than others
Planning ahead and choosing the right foods you buy at the grocery store, for all your meals throughout the week
Allow for some flexibility in your diet
Enjoying the process is so unbelievably underrated inside the nutrition space and ironically it’s one of the biggest keys to staying consistent! When you see people who have been lean all year long, it’s because they work toward their goals on a consistent basis without having to make many sacrifices because they have made nutrition apart of their lifestyle.
